The EUROAVIA Napoli Rocketry Workshop, in which 24 students, divided into 5 teams, had to challenge themselves over 8 intensive days in Naples, Italy, from the 12th to the 20th of April 2023.
Contents: lectures, designing,programming, crafting and launching.

-12/04: Workshop introduction. Initial theory lessons about components. Organizers held class about Fusion 360 modelling, Aerodynamic Theory held by dr. Guida Riccardo and dr. Cassese Sergio, introduction to Open Rocket simulator.
-13/04: Basic theory lessons. Dr. Daniele Iacomino and Ing Alessia Sieczak from G-Reds Aerospace held a lesson about arduino and telemetry radio transmission. Afterwards, the organizers explained to the participants how to approach arduino commands. Beginning of the first design phase.
-14/04: MatLab introduction headed by UninaCorse E-Team. MathLab exercitation. Beginning of the second design phase.-15/04: First deadline. CAD project submission.
–17/04: Sponsor presentation. Tesi and Alten enterprices introduced themselfs. Beginning of the third design phase, second deadline: OpenRocket project submission.
-18/04: First Assembling phase.
-19/04: Second assembling phase. third deadline: report and prototype submission.
-20/04: Launch day
Event program
07/04 – Event’s introduction with foundation rocketry theory lectures, in addiction to sponsors’ presentations introduced by Professor Raffaele Savino . The course included aerodynamic, stability, systems and other trajectory analysis and some hints about engines, hardware and programming;
13/04- Rocket design using the software Open Rocket;
14/04- Rocket crafting. The teams received components to craft the rockets, with the help of the technical department of the event;
15/04 – Rocket launch. The launch was supervised by professional aeromodelists, following the ENAC standards.
